Hello, 

 I’m Heather Johnson, a dedicated photographer based in the heart of Charleston, SC.  I reside in Charleston but I often travel to Atlanta.    My passion for photography began as a '90s kid with a camera and a dream. For the past 12 years. Charleston has been home to both my life and my creative vision. I specialize in capturing authentic and beautiful portraits that tell each client's unique story.  Throughout my website of each location I photograph,  I give the history of the location in Charleston & Atlanta through beautiful photographs.  

Originally from Atlanta, GA, I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of South Carolina. My expertise covers a broad range of photography styles, including weddings, boudoir, studio portraiture, animal portraits, headshots and  branding, and food photography. My studio, located at 1316 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29403, focuses on crafting imagery that reflects the individuality of my clients. I am also proud to be a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of South Carolina, Professional Photographers of North Carolina, and The Equine Photographers Network.  I am available to travel within South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina.  We often travel to Greenville, SC; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; and Beyond.  

When I’m not photographing, you can often find me at the barn with my Thoroughbred racehorse, "The Great Gatsby," or spending time with my rescue Border Collie, "Tyra." I value family, friendship, and the moments of joy and connection that inspire much of my work. Also, 

A fun fact about me is that I share my birthday with both of my siblings, though we are not twins! My mission is to make every client feel relaxed and confident during their session, whether it’s for a wedding, boudoir, portrait, branding, commercial, or food photography project. I strive to authentically capture the essence of your story with creativity and care.
